Book a site survey

If you want us to carry out the design, procurement and installation of your new bathroom, the next step is to meet face-to-face.

What happens on the day

Chris will come out to meet you, tape measure in hand.

Our goal is to finalise any plans previously discussed or to come up with a scheme that suits your requirements if this is our first meeting.

In addition to refining the scheme and talking through the design features we also go deeper to ensure nothing is missed.

We look at:

Your current house construction (walls & floors) & how these impacts on the scope of work/budget, etc. so we can make any adjustments necessary.

Outside spaces (to plan skips/ladders /scaffolding and access where appropriate.)

Your electrical system (to ensure we can issue a completion certificate to ensure everything is up to current safety regulations.)

Your heating system (to check water pressure and to allow us to specify the correct types of fittings that will work effectively when hooked up to your particular system.)

Your current space vs the plan i.e. checks dimensions - Here, we note caveats/restrictions that may apply to suite items during the procurement phase e.g. radiator needs to be 50cm tall (max) in order to fit comfortably under the window cill, toilet needs to be close coupled open back to allow for a right-angled pan connector to fit to drain etc.

Variances from perfect that may need to be accounted for in the scope of work/procurement phase e.g. non flat, level, plumb & square surfaces (walls, floors & ceiling.)

Fee

The fee for this service is £250 and is redeemable against the cost of the installation.

(So it’s free once you instruct us)

Once this service is done you will have a design/scheme and a fixed price proposal for its implementation – and a plan to move forward from.

Why should I pay for this when others ‘quote for free’?

In short, because our overall process generates great work & happy customers:

The reason it generates happy customers is because we price for our site surveys so that we can dedicate enough time to properly determine your needs (so you get what you want) & to accurately plan and price the work (so that the price you are quoted is the price you will pay.)

This prevents a load of ‘extras’ from being added on during the installation to cover up oversights made at the survey stage (which happens a lot with people who offer ‘free’ quotes) as they understandably cannot afford to spend much time working for free.

We find that a lot of our homeowners really value knowing exactly what they will pay when all’s said and done – It’s no use providing competitive free quotes that look good on ‘paper’ but then end up actually costing you more money in the end!

PS. If you’re not yet ready to commit to a site survey, don’t forget you can take advantage of a free consultation with Chris prior to pulling the trigger.

But if you’ve already had indicative pricing for your project & its particulars based on our consultation call, this is the logical next step.

See you soon.
