This is a case study of a local bathroom installation by ukbathroomguru

Overview
We install quality bathrooms from start to finish, with all the bits in between taken care of so you don’t have to worry about finding reliable, affordable tradesmen and then co-ordinating all their work.
We provide advice and guidance during a free site survey, and we have a blog with lots of articles that cover frequently asked questions and show you examples of our recent work so you know you what you can expect in terms of quality and pride in our work.
We install bathrooms from start to finish, supplying all the necessary trades and project managing the whole process, so you don’t have to!
We work to detailed, itemised estimates with fixed costs, so you can budget properly without fear of unexpected skyrocketing prices.
Our focus is on doing a proper job for a fair price in a reasonable time.
Case study
The existing bathroom needed a refresh so our customer contacted us through a referral.
The original bathroom lacked storage space and had a lot of plumbing pipework and boxing in on show.
We carried out a free site survey and assessed what was feasible within the existing space, and we sketched out ideas (above) and showed the customer lots of examples of past work that we had done to show her what could work in her bathroom.
We then produced a detailed, itemised estimate that highlighted all the work that needed to be done to bring the plan to fruition.
This involved the application of many trades that the homeowner may have found hard to source independently and included project management as standard so she only needed to deal with one main person throughout the process.
We also gave the customer guidance on tiles and she was able to secure a good deal from a local tile warehouse without having to trek round loads of overpriced showrooms.
We were able to plan and source appropriate bathroom furniture that would fit nicely into the available space to give the customer more storage.
This was procured from our local supplier and the customer was able to look at the items before buying so she knew what she was getting would be good quality.
As part of the work we replaced the existing electric shower that produced a poor showering experience with a model more suited to her current plumbing system that would give her a better flow rate.
A single sliding door enclosure and a twin head thermostatic shower was fitted, and all the sizes were carefully planned at the outset to ensure everything would fit and work correctly…
We had to raise this shower tray slightly so that the drainage would actually work (unlike prior to this renovation where all the waste pipework ran uphill!)
The new bathroom design featured a surface mounted bowl and tall basin filler.
We also fitted an LED mirror unit above to provide additional storage space to keep clutter to a minimum, whilst allowing a charging point for shavers and electric toothbrushes.
The bathroom furniture featured a vanity unit under the basin for storage and a concealed toilet cistern for a sleek, uncluttered look.
Wall and floor tiles were colour co-ordinated to the grout and silicon and also the worktop.
We also incorporated a tiled in bath panel for a high level finish.
The final result was a brand new bathroom fitted in a couple of weeks by a small team of locally recommended fitters, overseen by a project manager:
