Before
The existing bathroom was a bit dated so was in need of an upgrade.
After
A new suite was installed and some of the walls were tiled with a large ceramic tile with colour co-ordinated grout & silicon.
The remaining walls were plastered & painted with an anti-mould bathroom paint and a new shower bath was installed in the space previously occupied by the (now redundant) airing cupboard.
A custom made storage unit was added to the foot of the bath to fill in this otherwise dead space.
A non-slip vinyl floor was fitted, which is warm underfoot and also softer than tiles.
Summary
This bathroom took approximately 1.5 weeks to complete and involved the following trades:
- Labourers & painters
- Plumber
- Electrician
- Plasterer
- Tiler
- Floor fitter
Why bother trying to source all of these tradesmen independently and then try to co-ordinate the work required when you could have a project manager assess, design and plan the work and then oversee all of the installation?
This saves time, effort and gets the job done quicker – and probably won’t cost anymore overall either.
