Prior to work beginning the existing suite was removed and all the floor coverings & wall tiles were stripped.
The whole bathroom was retiled as part of the refurbishment – all the walls & the floor.
As the bathroom was more or less a straight swop, with suite items (toilet, basin., bath etc) going back in the same place, very little plumbing work needed to be done (re-running pipes etc.) This helps to keep costs down.
Here you can see that a new toilet & basin have been installed once the wall & floor tiling has been completed.
This shows where the new shower was added at the opposing end of the bath.
As we reversed the bath to put the showering end opposite the window, it meant that we could add a glass bath screen (previously it would have clashed with the window reveal).
