Walk in shower tray

Case study

We looked at the existing bathroom during a free site survey and worked with the customer to produce a plan and a detailed estimate to work to.

Old cylinder cupboard

Pedestal basin

We then installed the bathroom from start to finish in a couple of weeks (which is fairly typical timescale)

installing insulation boards in a bathroom

We insulated all the external walls prior to tiling and plastering to ensure the room was kept warm and free from damp.

removing the old cylinder cupboard

We also removed the old clunky cylinder cupboard to open out the room a bit….

Wall hung vanity unit

and added a wall hung vanity unit to add a bit of storage space to keep the room clutter free.

Walk in shower tray

We also replaced the shower with a bath.

The customer chose to only tile the shower area and behind the basin to maintain a minimalist look – the rest of the walls were painted with an anti mould paint.

New stairwell treatment in bathroom

Removing the old cylinder cupboard, whilst replacing (and then decorating) the boxed in section that covered the stairwell made the room appear larger.

Trades involved

The work involved plumbing in the new suite but also a few other trades:

  • All planning, procurement and design where necessary
  • Ripping out & disposing of the old suite
  • Wall insulation (see picture above)
  • Wall tiling
  • Vinyl floor fitting
  • Plastering
  • Painting & decorating
  • Minor electrics (fitting new lighting)

However, our customer didn’t have to find all these people independently (or find a multi skilled individual) as we do everything from start to finish!
